Happy Halloween!

Another year of getting my offspring to knock on strangers' door and ask candy is behind us, and all that is left is for me to somehow get away with eating said candy without said offspring noticing.

Hope you had a Happy Halloween too!

Wee little Pumpkins

Can I be honest?  I don't get out of my house a whole lot.  Outings are short trips to the grocery store, or the happiest place on earth (Target), and then home again.  I fit these in between naps and nursing/feeding times of my two littlest littles.

It's my own fault... I hate to disrupt nap time.  But today I figured for my sanity, and thus the sanity of my children, we must go out on some sort of adventure.

So to the pumpkin patch we went...

A rare moment... he's looking at the camera AND smiling
Brudders!

This. Is. Awesome!

Fun in the bounce house... Lucas didn't want to leave

He went on this only about a million times

Tractor!

He was fascinated with the straw

I'm going to eat this now

Cheese!

That is a very unfortunate position the one hand of the scarecrow is in
The kids, however, are adorable

Getting him to smile is never a problem

The best I could get... at least they're both looking
So there you have it... a fun adventure, no meltdowns, and a good time was had by all.  Boy is Elise going to be ticked she missed all the fun.

My Little Halloweenies

Oh yeah... I am THAT far behind.  These days my time is spent on getting up from a seated/lying down position, and trying to work up the energy to do it. Hopefully I'll find the time to do a 35 week update before this baby is a year old.  Le sigh.

I realize Halloween was about a million years ago, but since I use this blog to help me remember (pregnancy/being a mom is rapidly depleting my brain cells), I'm going to go ahead and rehash it anyway.

These were the original Halloween costumes... you know, before we knew we were going to be trick-or-treating on the surface of the sun (aka Dallas this fall).

Then these outfits were picked for their school Halloween parties.  And in regards to Mattias's costume, when I say "picked", I mean I ran to Target and bought the only outfit left in his size that was cool enough to wear in 80+ degree heat.

For actual trick-or-treating, Elise wanted to match Mattias, so she suited up in her Supergirl costume from last year.  While Mattias was not so into wearing his costume to school, he did warm up to it for the trick-or-treating part.  His favourite thing was to run down the sidewalk, one fist in the air while yelling, "HOOPERMAN!" (he can't pronounce the letter "s").
At the end of the night, the kids got a pretty good haul.  I surreptitiously stole problematic candies out of their buckets (seriously, who gives a two year old Airheads?), as well as a reward or two for walking my 31-week pregnant butt through the neighbourhood.

My favourite part of the night?  Watching Mattias as the realization set in that people were giving him CANDY and all he had to do was walk up to their door and say, "Twickertweat!", "Tankoo!" and "Happy Ween!"

Happy Ween indeed.

Happy Hallowe'en from Supergirl and a duck

Seriously, have you ever seen such CUTENESS in your life?

I think not.

Two little pumpkins...

Elise 2007 / Mattias 2010

They are only three days apart in these pictures. Elise seems to be slightly more unhappy than Mattias, wouldn't you agree?

Halloween Pictures

I am way, way too tired to come up with something witty to write here. So... just enjoy the pictures and let me go to sleep.

Check out the size of that pumpkin!

One day he's going to be so mad at me for doing this to him

Go Rangers (yeah, I know...)

Ready to trick or treat!

This guy tricked out the walkway to his front door... the sign says "Welcome to the Insane Asylum. Wait, I thought that was MY house

Waiting for the candy

Elise, Mattias and I... you don't want to know how many people ask me if I'm STILL pregnant while wearing this wrap. People, that's a FREAKING 7 week old baby in there. Come on!

All this snuggling wears me out

Happy Halloween... and GOOD NIGHT!
